The procedures that follow will provide you with a road map of the installation process. This installation procedure is for installing tableBASE from scratch. Use this procedure if you are installing tableBASE for the first time or if you are installing a new version of tableBASE. If you are upgrading from a previous release, within the same version, a simpler upgrade procedure can be found in the tableBASE Release Notes.
Your installation media contains the required load modules and datasets. The following describes the process of installing these files.
Step 1—Prepare for installation
Before you begin the installation process, you should understand the required tasks, and plan your dataset naming conventions. For more information, see Step 1: Prepare for tableBASE installation.
Step 2—Obtain installation files from installation media
The product can be provided on CD or via FTP.

Step 3—Install the tableBASE PC Server (required)

Step 5—Install the VTS product (optional)

Step 7—Install the tableBASE CICS Interface (optional)
