The VTS Agent may be initiated either as a batch job, by submission of the start-up JCL, or as an MVS Started Task (STC). The STC could be included in the IPL or daily start-up procedures for your installation. The VTS Agent must be run from an authorized library. In the startup JCL shown in Figure 27, the TBOPT data set is of special importance.
